INSTALLATION & COMPATIBILITY
Installation notes
The transmitter does not switch the mains load. Lamp type, load capacity and dimming capability depend on the selected receiver.
The GS8 button is non-removable. Do not attempt to detach it from the switch module.
No mains connection is required at the transmitter. Do not apply mains voltage to GS8.
Use the matching M2 grid frame, faceplate and appropriate module trim. The button must move freely after assembly.
Allow clearance for the complete module, frame and adjacent wiring. Minimum box depth is to be confirmed.
Where the grid assembly also contains wired accessories, retain their installation and earthing requirements and those of the M2 plate system.
Install the selected receiver according to its own instructions and pair it with GS8. Check radio operation after final assembly; metal plates, walls and nearby wiring may affect range.
Compatibility applies to the mechanical module and plate interface. It does not imply approval or endorsement by M2. Other M2 ranges and other brands are not specified.
