S3 also has a published indoor range of 25 m. Maximum radio range and indoor range describe different installation conditions; maximum figures are not an indoor coverage guarantee. Pressing a kinetic switch generates the energy needed to send a wireless control signal. The switch needs no battery or power cable.
A compatible receiver receives that signal and controls the connected load. The receiver still needs its specified power supply and correct wiring.

What is a kinetic switch?
A kinetic switch is a self-powered wireless switch. Pressing it generates the energy required to transmit a control signal to a compatible receiver.
Does the switch or receiver need a battery?
S2, S3 and K3 switches operate without batteries. The receiver is a separate device and needs its specified power supply.
Can a kinetic switch dim lights?
Dimming depends on the selected switch, compatible dimming receiver and lamp or driver. Confirm the complete combination before ordering.
Are these kinetic switches waterproof?
S2 and S3 models have an IP67 protection rating. Do not assume the receiver has the same rating. Check each component and installation requirements separately; contact our team for the K3 specification.
Can I use any receiver with the switch?
Receiver compatibility must be confirmed for the exact switch model and radio option. Send us the model and your load requirements for selection advice.
How far does the wireless signal reach?
S2 and S3 ASK options have a maximum range of up to 60 m; FSK options up to 80 m. S3 has a published indoor range of 25 m. K3 has a maximum range of up to 30 m. Actual performance depends on installation conditions.
